Located on the beautiful St George's Bay
Unlike other places on Curaçao, you will still experience authentic island life at Sint Joris Bay. This stretch of northeast coast is quiet and unique. It is an area with rich flora and fauna.
Sint Joris Bay is surrounded by a lush coastline (Caribbean Sea) with rocky landscape and diverse flora and fauna. Due to the constant trade winds blowing along the coast of Sint Joris Bay, it is a popular destination for wind and kite surfers.
And because Sint Joris Baai is a little further away from the more touristy areas of Curaçao, it offers a peaceful atmosphere. It is the perfect destination for those who want to escape the crowds and enjoy some peace and quiet.
Cosy spots and well-known locations are easy to reach. The capital Willemstad is about 20 minutes away from Sint Joris Bay. Here, enjoy local cuisine, a delicious cocktail and live music among the colourful houses. The Punda district is the city's oldest. Its narrow streets are home to cosy boutiques, art galleries and lively street art.
Grab ‘happy hour’ or have a bite to eat with your feet in the sand: Jan Thiel (about 15 minutes away) has numerous fun beach bars for the perfect night out. Mambo Beach is also popular. Near this white-sand beach, you will find great shops, restaurants and beautiful beach clubs. Don't skip the salt pans, located between Jan Thiel and Mambo Beach. This is a beautiful hiking area. With a bit of luck, you will see pink flamingos in the wild here.
Hop in your car for a short ten-minute drive to the aloe vera farm. On a tour, you will learn more about this special product. The guide will take you to the aloe fields, tell you about the local vegetation and how this plant becomes a product. You can also buy handmade, Antillean products. Delicious for yourself or fun for your guests!
Close to Baia Vista you will find the Amazonia. This jungle experience brings big and small close to monkeys, turtles, reptiles and birds.
Around the corner from Baia Vista you will find the Curaçao Ostrich Farm. Here you can not only feed ostriches and watch other animals. They also have a little restaurant there, Zambezi, where you can eat in Antillean atmospheres.
